Book Revisions

by June Moore

As Kathy's personal assistant for the last ten years, we have, as you can imagine, spent a lot of time discussing
every topic imaginable. What we didn't expect at the time however,  is that most of those
subjects would end up in the middle of a book on her life.

Sadly most of those wonderful stories were written from memory. Therefore, somewhere along the way a few very
important details were either lost or changed by the time they actually hit the pages of my newly released book,
Kathy Westmoreland: Elvis' Voice of an Angel.

Therefore, I'd like to take this time to apologize to Kathy, and her fans, by clearing up a few of the misconceptions:

The first mistake is an obvious typo It's s on page 21. It's true that Kathy worked for Elvis seven years to the day,
but it was from 8/16/70 to 8/16/77, NOT 8/22/70 to 8/22/77.

On page 49 Kathy says what I have written makes it sound like Elvis took too many pills, which is the exact
opposite of what I intended. What Kathy says, and what I meant to say, is that in actuality he only took four, five,
or six tabs each night … one for each of the different illness he suffered from. She goes onto to say how, "Yes
he upon occasion over did these, but not to the extent that has been reported. He most certainly did not take these because he was a sad, lonely, depressed rich man. They were necessary to control his many medical conditions."

On page 53 where I state Elvis told her he had bone cancer? What I intended to say was -- he told her he had a
cancer-like condition. which was related to something his mother had. He could not metabolize vitamin B.

Then there's the wonderful peacock story, this time in Kathy's own words.

Elvis had said "Next time we have chicks I'll send you one, or send you an adult...whatever you want." I didn't know
what he was going to send. Then a long time later when we knew the end was very near, he said, "If I can reach you
from the other side, I will"...When that peacock flew in from 'nowhere'... June, I almost passed out. TWO WEEKS
after he died. Where did it come from? Heck if anyone knew. Nancy next door and her husband bought several to
mate with it and then there were twenty. Yes, there ended up being peacocks all over my roof, and my poor neighbors.
But they all lived in Norco for the love of animals so it wasn't a problem. When it showed up two weeks after he died,
I just wondered ... is this your sign, Elvis? It felt like it may be.

Last but not least, one of most obvious mistakes is on page 159. It's there that I mistakenly wrote that Anita Wood
was Natalie Wood's sister, I have no idea what I was thinking when I wrote that, knowing it wasn't true. Nor do
I know why I
never caught the mistake, after all those months I spent editing and re-editing the book,

Thanks

Kathy and June
